Though Neuropathy can affect the entire body, it often manifests itself in the hands or feet. The symptoms can include weakness, numbness, pain or tingling in the hands, arms or feet. Though these symptoms are best addressed by treating the underlying cause of the nerve damage, simple exercises can help manage your symptoms and possibly slow the damage.
If you’re feeling the effects of Neuropathy in your hands, try this simple hand exercise to help improve and maintain your dexterity. Even if you’re not experiencing symptoms in your hand, this is a great exercise for the general health of your hands.
Circular Finger Touch
Touch the tip of each finger to the tip of your thumb (forming a circle between the fingers). Begin with your index finger and rotate through to your pinky. After each rotation, stretch the hand wide open, then repeat.
Repeat 10 times.
